PODCASTS
I ran a podcast called "That's Just Waack." It was available on iTunes and Omny. Unfortunately, after The Tuscaloosa News layoff in May 2019, it was taken down. The podcast covered a variety of topics -- from sports to social events, personal to public news -- and featured a range of guests.

I also co-hosted "The Bama Beat" on TideSports.com. That is still up and running but with new hosts. All of those, including old episodes featuring yours truly, are available on Omny:

BIO
(Bio updated on Aug. 7, 2023.)
My name is Terrin Waack, and I am the Atlanta Falcons digital team reporter. I joined the staff here in August 2023.

Before this career move, I worked at The Advocate/Times-Picayune in Louisiana as the New Orleans Saints beat writer for a year. While there, I earned third place in the Louisiana Sports Writers Association's Beat Writer of the Year contest.
I previously worked at NASCAR as a Senior Coordinator, Digital Editorial for three years. I helped cover all three of NASCAR's national series: Cup, Xfinity and Trucks. Other responsibilities included video, social and mobile work, along with keeping the WordPress website updated with content. I started this job in July 2019, and by the end of the year, I earned second place in the National Motorsports Press Association's "Spot News Writing" contest. Between 2020-21, combined due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I won NMPA's George Cunningham Award for Writer of the Year, along with first, fourth and fifth place in the "Feature Writing" category and also third in "Race Coverage."
I began working in the full-time world at The Tuscaloosa News and TideSports.com in August 2018, covering Alabama football and gymnastics, but was unfortunately a part of the May 2019 layoffs. I was the TideSports.com editor, which is a WordPress website solely dedicated to The Tuscaloosa News' UA athletics content, and handled the TideSports.com social-media accounts. In February 2019, The Tuscaloosa News made top 10 in the Associated Press Sports Editors' digital contest for the 10th year in a row, joining The Washington Post and New York Times as the only outlets to do so every year since the category was introduced. I personally earned top 10 APSE honors in beat writing for my UA gymnastics coverage. I also covered World Boxing Council heavyweight champion Deontay Wilder, WBC U.S. cruiserweight champion Deon Nicholson and NASCAR for The Tuscaloosa News.
As a student, I interned at The Associated Press, The Chicago Tribune, Sporting News and The Tuscaloosa News. I graduated from the University of Alabama in May 2018 with a major in journalism, concentrating in sports news and information, and a double minor in Spanish and communication studies.
